We all have deep, fundamental awareness of the suffering caused by mankind's exploitation of animals.
But we are good and compassionate and empathetic beings.
How can we justify our silence?
Animal exploitation is deeply entwined in our western way of life. Complex social, religious, political and economic factors mold our thinking, our moral code and ultimately our behavior. Large and powerful economic interests are deeply reliant on our preparedness to be passive and complacent.
Perhaps we need March?
Becoming Vegan forever is a daunting prospect. Even one month will be hard. Really hard. But we will do it!
Animal products are seductively presented to us, in great abundance. And there are many circumstances where it will be difficult to find nutritious, well balanced and pleasurable alternatives. We will have to substitute and to sacrifice.
But we will do it! Because it is the right thing to do.
And through our weight of numbers we will affect a great change. To our souls. To our health. To our neighbours. To our children. And to our planet.

Lots of things really. For you as an individual ... you'll make a really positive lifestyle choice. You'll reduce your impact on our planet earth. You'll probably end up healthier. For our society as a whole... we'll raise awareness. And perhaps, through our force of numbers, big business will wake up and realise that things have got to change!
